Cornelius PARC and Huntersville Parks and Recreation Departments have named their senior softball league to recognize Ralph Lambert, who played a vital role getting senior softball established in the Lake Norman area.

Purpose


The Lake Norman Senior Softball league promotes physical fitness among adults, men and women, 50 years of age and better. The league welcomes all skill levels and is a great way to have fun, get exercise and meet some new friends.

Fall Softball 2017


The softball league seasons will consist two groups:  50+ and 65+.  Both groups will play an eight-game regular season followed by a double elimination tournament at the end. All 50+ games will be held on Wednesday nights at Bradford Park- 17005 Davidson-Concord Road in Huntersville.  All 65+ games will be held on Tuesday mornings at North Mecklenburg Park.
  • Register July 1 - July 21 for the Fall 2017 season
  • Cost:  $45 for Huntersville-Cornelius Residents, $60 for non-residents

  • New Player Skills Day & Players and Coaches Meeting is Saturday, July 22, 9:00am at North Meck Park, Field 1. New players need to attend.
  • Coaches Meeting (team selection) July 24, 6:30pm, Huntersville Parks and Rec Offices
  • Games for 50+ will begin August 9, and be played Wednesday nights at Bradford Park in Huntersville  
  • Games for 65+ will begin August 15, and be played Tuesday mornings at Bradford Park in Huntersville
  • Tournament dates TBD

Open field time is available on Saturday mornings from 9:00 am to 12:00 noon at Torrence Chapel Park in Cornelius. All interested adults are welcome to participate during these Saturday sessions, regardless of whether or not they are participating on a league team.
