PiYo

Overview
Join us as we offer a new class called PiYo, which combines dynamic cardio exercise, yoga, Pilates, strength training, core work and athletic stretching into one workout. It is powerful, dynamic and will make you work at a high intensity to burn calories, torch body fat and can help shed unwanted pounds. It features all of the benefits that you get from Yoga and Pilates, including flexibility and core training, but with an added emphasis on cardio and strength training to really make you sweat. PiYo is unique in that you will be doing plenty of strength training and muscle building throughout workouts but you will not be utilizing a single weight. PiYo is easy on the joints, so you do not have to worry about high-impact moves that will be hard on the knees. It truly is a unique type of fitness program that will help transform bodies the way no other program has done before!

Equipment
Bring a yoga mat, towel, water bottle and comfortable clothes.

Instructor


Heather Watkins, a Certified PiYo instructor, holds a degree in Worksite Health Promotion and has over 15 years of teaching group exercise and working in health and wellness. She has taught in New York City, Ireland and Lake Norman and is excited to bring PiYo to Cornelius. Heather knows the importance of cross training with various formats where your body can use its muscles in different ways. She delivers a high energy, low impact class that is fun, challenging and bound to make you sweat. Heather's high energy, and passion for health and wellness makes her classes challenging, fun, and effective.

Registration

The fee for is $5 per class or $40 for a 10-class pass. Participants register on site. Come early so that class will start on time.
