Pickleball for Youth and Adults

Overview
Join the Cornelius PARC Department as we offer free play pickleball for adults ages 50 and up and youth ages 7-13. This increasingly popular sport will be for beginner and intermediate players. It is a fun sport that will provide you with a great workout while also offering a very social and competitive game.

We will have one court designated for youth players, one court designated for senior beginners, and one court designated for senior intermediate players. There will be paddles available for play.

Pickleball is played on a badminton court with the net lowered to 34 inches at the center. It is played with a perforated plastic baseball (similar to a whiffle ball) and wood or composite paddles. It is easy for beginners to learn, but can develop into a quick, fast-paced, competitive game for experienced players. Read the Pickleball Rules.

We have painted pickleball lines on both of the tennis courts at Torrence Chapel Park and at Robbins Park. Enjoy!
