On February 7, 2005, the Town of Cornelius Board of Commissioners approved a Conditional Use Permit for 66 multi-family residential units on the property located in the southeast quadrant of Magnolia Estates Drive and West Catawba Avenue (PID 00524312). Included in the approval conditions was a requirement for greenway access and the relocation of the Magnolia Estates monument sign.
On October 10, 2005, the Town of Cornelius Planning Board approved a minor amendment request, SITE 24-05 Magnolia Villas, to reduce the number of units to 60.
On July 28, 2017 developer B.V. Belk, Jr. as applied for an Administrative Amendment to the previously approved plan, SITE 24-05, to increase the number of units to 65. View the proposed plan for 65 units and read staff comments on the plan. Board review is not necessary for this request.
