Highway 115

Corridor Improvements

Working with the North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT), the Town is studying alternatives for improvements along the NC Highway 115 corridor (Main Street/Old Statesville Road). Stakeholder committees, comprised of residents and business owners along the affected corridor, have been working with staff and NCDOT to develop alternatives for consideration.

South Corridor

The south corridor stretches into Huntersville, covering the area from Washam Potts Road to Sam Furr Road (NC Highway 73). The goals and objectives of the south corridor improvement study (also known as Phase 2) are to improve vehicular safety, enhance bike/pedestrian facilities, and to minimize railroad interaction.
