Cornelius Pacers Are you looking for a fun and motivated running group? Come and join others in your community in this manageable running program for all abilities - whether a newbie or a veteran, a marathoner or someone with the goal to run one mile. We are going to focus on goal setting, proper warm up and running form, and finding just what your own pace is. We will meet at the Bailey Road Middle School track, which will allow us to be able to have a variety of running abilities going on at the same time. For ages 16 and up.
The program instructor will be Karin Gould. Karin is a former NCAA Division 1 cross country and track athlete at West Virginia University, and has represented her home country of Canada internationally. Karin regularly runs distances from 5K to marathon, and she also competes in triathlons from the sprint distance and upwards. Karin also qualified for the Ironman World 70.3 Championships in 2017, and will compete again at the Worlds in Nice, France, in September 2019. Karin loves to work with runners of all abilities and ages, to share her love and passion for running with newcomers to the sport of running. And, as a registered dietitian, she brings a unique understanding of the importance of diet in addition to exercise. Come out and join us to find your pace!
