Half/Partial Day Camps

Summer Arts & Recreation Camps (SARC) - New this year: photography, rock & roll and more yoga camps!

We offer 60 half-day (3-hour) camps including ceramics, crafts, CSI, drama, drawing, food art, improv comedy, jewelry making, LEGOs, music, painting, photography, sculpture, and yoga. Explore classic techniques or create art based on modern themes, such as mythical or fantasy creatures, superheroes or popular video games! Camps are offered in the mornings and afternoons for boys and girls, ages 4 to 16. You will be able to register online or in person at Cornelius Town Hall and the Cornelius Arts Center.

Summer Sports Camps (SSC)

 - With additional weeks of soccer and tennis, plus more opportunities for preschoolers!


Try out some of our 65 half-day (3-hour) plus three mini camps (2-hour) in a variety of sports, including baseball, basketball, bowling, cheerleading, cycling, disc golf, flag football, lacrosse, multi-sport, pickleball, sand volleyball and traditional volleyball, soccer, softball, speed & agility, T-ball, tennis, and water sports. We even have two fitness offerings (Fitness Fun and Stretch-n-Grow) for the youngest campers! Camps are offered in the mornings and afternoons for boys and girls, ages 4 to 16. You will be able to register online or in person at Cornelius Town Hall.

Full Day Camps

Summer Day Camps (SDC) - With earlier drop-off time (as early as 7:30 a.m.), plus new and improved field trips, STEAM activities and special surprises!

Need an entire workday filled for your child? These full-day summer camps include games, crafts, field trips and fun! Each week explores a different theme. Camps are offered 7:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m. for boys and girls, ages 6 to 12. For these full-day camps only, Cornelius residents will have a one-week priority registration period, March 2-8. Starting March 9, full-day camp registration will be open to residents and non-residents for any remaining spaces. Registration will be available online or in person at Cornelius Town Hall.

2020 SDC Parent Information Packet

PLEASE NOTE: All full-day campers must be 6 years old by the first day of the camp(s) they will be attending and have completed Kindergarten.
 
CORNELIUS PARENTS OF FULL-DAY CAMPERS, YOU WILL NEED TO PROVIDE PROOF OF RESIDENCY TO OUR OFFICE (21445 Catawba Ave) BY MAY 15. FINAL PAYMENTS ARE ALSO DUE BY MAY 15. Documents may also be mailed to PO Box 399, Cornelius; faxed to 704-896-2462; or emailed to parc@cornelius.org. Acceptable documents include valid driver's license, utility bill, apartment lease, etc.


Therapeutic & Inclusive Recreation Camp​s

We partner with Mecklenburg County to bring full-day camps to citizens of Cornelius who are living with a disability. Learn more about the 2020 Northern Adventures Full Day Summer Camps for ages 6-12 and 13-21, which will be held 7:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m. in Huntersville, starting the week of June 22. Registration opens Monday, March 2, at 9 a.m.
