Team Drafts, Practices & Games
TEAM ASSIGNMENTSWe will consider any special requests made regarding team assignments, practice night preferences, etc., but we CANNOT GUARANTEE that we will be able to honor such requests. Special requests can be made as a Transaction Note during online registration, written on a registration form, called in to the Cornelius PARC office, or given to us on a Skills Day. Once the draft has occurred, no players will be moved to another team. At the conclusion of the league draft, coaches will receive a copy of their team roster. Coaches should contact all of their participants by Tuesday, November 26.
Two (2) skills days will be conducted for each age division. It is highly encouraged that participants attend at least one of the skills days. These skills days will provide training / practice opportunities for the participants while also allowing PARC staff and coaches the opportunity to evaluate each participant.
Participants that do not attend at least one (1) of the two (2) skills days for their age division will not be drafted during the player drafts.
At the conclusion of the regular draft, these participants will be assigned to teams in order by which the draft was conducted, and by a participant’s last name (alphabetical order).
Exception: If all coaches are in agreement on a player's skill level and the paler can be marked as an A player, this players will then be included in the regular draft. Additionally, if a coach's son or daughter does not attend skills day, then coaches and PARC staff will work together to determine the skill level of that player.
Team practices for divisions ages 7 and up will begin the week of Monday, December 2. Practice schedules will be distributed to all coaches no later than Tuesday, November 26. Coaches will then contact their players.
