What is S.K.W.O.D.? It's Stef + Kim + WorkOut of the Day!
This multi-level fitness class is designed to improve your overall fitness through full body circuit base workouts. With the use of body weight and resistance equipment in functional movements, participants may improve their cardiovascular health, strength, and body composition.
Lead instructor Kim Quiros is an American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) Certified Personal Trainer and Fitness Coaching Specialist. (Check out her Instagram page @skwodtraining) Stefanie Gregson is currently in the process of receiving her PT Certification with the American Council on Exercise (ACE).
All workouts will be circuit and/or partner-style where participants take turns at each station to get a full body workout. Participants needing modified movements will be accommodated for individual progression.
Each class will consist of:
Warm up (8-10 minutes)
Workout (40-45 minutes)
Cool down/Stretch (5-7 minutes)
Participants will be using body weight, weights between 5 and 20 pounds, a range of resistance bands, agility ladders, cones, jump ropes, medicine balls and battle ropes .
All participants are encouraged to bring a towel, mat, and water bottle.
Class is open to adults ages 18 and up and for kids as young as 10 years old WHEN ACCOMPANIED by a parent or guardian*.
