In the event that a child cannot participate in the program in which he/she has registered, the refund policy is as follows:

  • A 90% refund will be issued when requested by Monday, November 14
  • A 75% refund will be issued when requested between Tuesday, November 15, and Monday, November 28
  • A 50% refund will be issued when requested between Tuesday, November 29, and Tuesday, December 12
  • No refund will be given starting Wednesday, December 13

Please call or email us with any questions.

More Important Information

  • Coaches - We can't run this league without our volunteer coaches - read more and sign up!
  • Team Assignments
    • As part of the registration process, parents will be asked to provide skills assessments and flag football experience information for their children. Please rate your child on a scale of 1-5, with 5 being very skilled at flag football and/or a strong knowledge of the sport, and 1 being unskilled or with very limited skill associated with flag football and/or little to no knowledge of the sport. Parents will also be asked to share their child’s experience playing organized flag football.
    • Staff will be conducting a random draft for the A division, and then coach-led draft for B, C, and D.  Coaches and their coaching partners (max 2 coaches total per team) will have their children drafted to their teams. Siblings in the same age division will also be drafted to the same team. These assignments will be in place automatically unless otherwise communicated as a transaction note during the registration process. CPRD reserves the right to modify the Team Assignment process as needed. Team Assignment protocols and procedures are subject to change based upon total registration.
    • PLEASE NOTE: We will consider requests for coaches, teammates, carpools, practice night, and practice time. Please note that we cannot guarantee any of the above requests as ultimately team assignments are selected by the coaches during the draft process. Special requests can be made as a transaction note, via email to pr@cornelius.org, or in person at the CPRD office (21445 Catawba Avenue, 2nd floor). Once the team assignments have been made, it is very rare that we are able to honor any late requests. Our inability to meet your requests does not alter our refund policy.
  • Practice & Games
    • All divisions will meet for games and practices at the Bailey Road Park synthetic turf football field, 11900 Bailey Road, unless otherwise noted.
    • Team practices are scheduled to begin the week of January 1.
    • All participants must wear their official jersey at each game. Metal cleats will not be allowed, only tennis shoes or plastic/rubber cleats.
    • All players must wear protective mouthpieces during each practice and each game. NO EXCEPTIONS!
  • Weather Hotline - In the event of inclement weather or other factors that might place events in question, we will provide an updated message on our Weather Hotline, 704-896-2460 ext. 290.  Please call this number on weekdays after 4 p.m. and on Saturdays after 8 a.m.
