Cornelius Police Take Precautions Amid Growing COVID-19 Concerns

As concern about the COVID-19 outbreak continues to grow, the Town of Cornelius has made adjustments to several Town meetings, programs, activities and events.

The Cornelius Police Department is temporarily suspending the service of taking pre-employment and other non-criminal fingerprints for the public.

We have made the decision to cancel all of our dates of our Coffee/Q&A with a Cop series indefinitely. We hope to be able to continue this series at a later date.

The CPD Traffic Safety Team will be taking appointments only for Child Passenger Seat Checks. Please call 704-892-1363 and ask to speak with Sergeant J.J. Sarver to schedule an appointment.

Town officials are closely monitoring this rapidly changing situation, and will continue to align with the direction provided by government and public health authorities.
