At Camp Cornelius, there is no reason for your kids to be bored this summer! Register online or in person at Town Hall, Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 5 p.m. The Parks & Recreation office is located on the 2nd floor.

Summer Day Camps (Full Day)
Need the whole workday filled for your child? These full-day summer camps include games, crafts, field trips, special guests, and fun!  Each week will feature at least one offsite field trip and a special onsite guest or other surprise among daily jam-packed days of camp activities. Excluding field trip days, campers will be divided into pre-designated, age-specific groups for activity rotations throughout the day. Meals

re not provided; each camper must bring his/her own nut-free lunch and nut-free snacks to camp daily, a large refillable water bottle, and tennis or other closed-toe shoes. The camp day will run 7:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m. Though campers may be dropped off later or picked up earlier on most days, there are no earlier drop-off or later pick-up options. Eight weeks offered; register for all or just pick the weeks you need!
NEW THIS YEAR: Our 6-7 year-old campers will meet at JV Washam Recreation Center and our 8-12-year-old campers will meet at Bailey Road Recreation Center. Most weeks, both Washam and Bailey field trips will be to the same destination, though typically on different days.
Ages: 6-12  (NOTE:  All full-day campers must be 6 years old by the first day of the camp(s) they will be attending and have completed Kindergarten.)

CORNELIUS PARENTS OF FULL-DAY CAMPERS, YOU WILL NEED TO PROVIDE PROOF OF RESIDENCY TO OUR OFFICE BY MAY 15. Documents may be emailed to pr@cornelius.org, brought to our Town Hall office (21445 Catawba Ave), mailed to PO Box 399, Cornelis, or faxed to 704-896-2462. Acceptable documents may include valid driver's license, utility bill, apartment lease, etc.

PAYMENT PLAN: We offer a payment plan for our Summer Day Camps only. Parents have the option to pay 50% of the fees due upon registration. FINAL PAYMENTS FOR ALL CAMPS ARE DUE BY MAY 17. For non-residents using the payment plan, initial fees upon registration will include 50% of the resident camp cost plus 100% of the non-resident fees.

Summer Sports Camps (Partial Day)2024 will be our 24th year of offering these camps in a variety of different sports, including baseball, basketball, cardio dance, cheerleading, cycling, disc golf, flag football, lacrosse, multi-sport, pickleball, rugby, soccer, softball, tennis, and volleyball! We also offer several mini-camps to introduce our youngest campers to sports in a 90-minute format. 
Ages: 4-14

Summer Recreation Experience (Partial Day)

This camp series offers an engaging approach to science and adventure! Over nine weeks this summer, with one camp per week, these camps are designed to provide fun, fascinating STEM camps including engineering, food science, and  rocketry, and unique, educational interactions with Cornelius’s finest, solving crimes and learning about water and boater safety!  Ages: 6-14

Therapeutic Summer CampsWe partner with Mecklenburg County Therapeutic and Inclusive Recreation Services to offer camps for any child with a disability, developmental delay, behavioral / attention / sensory disorder or any other challenge hindering his / her life experiences, learning or development.  Registration for Summer Day Camps and Specialty Camps opens Wednesday, March 6, at 9 a.m..
